Covid and the Construction Community
A place for industry information
A Message from Tracy Doriot
In 1966 Robert F. Kennedy delivered a speech that included this phrase: “May he live in interesting times.” Like it or not, we live in interesting times. They are times of danger and uncertainty; but they are also the most creative of any time in the history of mankind.
*UPDATE* Construction has resumed!
Today April 2, our Governor extended the stay at home order until May 4th. He specifically ordered construction to stand down. As part of the community, we will comply with our Governors orders. We have halted all construction activities at our active construction with minor exceptions for property security and preservation. We will do our part to prevent exposure to contagion’s by staggering staffing hours in our office. We will conduct more operations via email or phone to minimize the contact between our personnel, sub contractor’s and of course our valued clients.
With field operations suspended, we will shift our energy to completing selections and communicating those to our subs and suppliers so that as soon we are allowed back to work, we can proceed at best possible speed.
We are also continuing preparation for new starts. We are available for virtual consultations and our consultants are available for design and engineering. This is a perfect time to lay the groundwork for your new dream home.
I would like to offer my sincere thank you to all of our valued industry partners, our staff and most importantly our clients as we navigate these interesting times.
